InFamous includes Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta code [UPDATE]

The unintentional reveal of Uncharted 2's multiplayer came by way of an InFamous box photo.

We spoke about Sony's electrifying announcement, scheduled for today, and how it linked to two PlayStation 3 exclusives: Sucker Punch's InFamous and Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

We speculated that this might indicate an Uncharted 2 demo on the InFamous disc, further drawing in rumours of competitive and cooperative multiplayer in Naughty Dog's game to suggest that perhaps a multiplayer beta code would be included with a purchase of InFamous. Our very own Patrick Steen wrote:

"There's been a rumour that Naughty Dog is developing competitive and cooperative for Among Thieves, so could purchasing or pre-ordering InFamous provide a code for some kind of multiplayer Beta? If they've created online multiplayer, Naughty Dog will surely want to test it."

It turns out Paddy was right, as shown by the photo taken by one of Kotaku's readers. It's a shot of Best Buy's place-holder boxes for InFamous, which won't only provide early access to the InFamous demo, but purchasers will also receive a voucher for Uncharted 2's multiplayer.

So there you have it. Time to get excited, though there's currently no evidence that such a pre-order scheme will be held in the UK. By the way, there's more details on these new Uncharted modes coming very soon...
